Location
The Centre provides a central base to discover at leisure, the island of Harris and Lewis. Visit the stunning Harris beaches at Horgabost, Luskentyre, Seilebost and Hushinish or the many other tourist attractions Harris has to offer such as The Old Whaling Station at Bunavonedar, the Standing Stone at Nisabost, the MacGillivray Centre at Northton, St Clement's Church at Rodel, Leverburgh Ferry, Scalpay Lighthouse, the main town of Tarbert or beautiful Amhuinnsuidhe Castle.
The Centre also allows your group to discover the many attractions in Lewis, which are easily accessible, for example the main town of Stornoway and its Castle Grounds, the Standing Stones at Callanish, the Carloway Broch, and the beaches at Valtos, Garry and Bosta.
We are located at the foot of the Clisham, the highest point in the Western Isles (799 metres), with superb views out to Loch Seaforth and Seaforth Island. The landscape around the Centre provides many excellent examples of glaciation with rounded summits; plunging corries and U shaped glens a common sight.
